Solution> The Kiva Approach
Kiva Systems was founded on a better approach
to order fulfillment - a philosophy that simultaneously breaks many
existing constraints and and takes fulfillment back to it's simple
basics. We believe:

Products Should Organize
Themselves
Current solutions store items in fixed locations which results in
an enormous amount of time and energy being spent keeping the facility
organized. Kiva believes that inventory should be free from physical
location constraints, locations and positions should be virtual
and move and adapt to the products, and any item can be delivered
to any operator in the facility at any time.
One Piece of Equipment
And Process Should Handle All Products
Kiva believes that one simple process and set of equipment should
be used to store, move and sort all items in the warehouse so facility
managers can focus on the customer, not the complexity of their
equipment.
A Solution Should Scale
Up or Down
Kiva believes that companies should employ the right amount of material
handling equipment for the current required throughput and scale
up as the market grows or flex up during peak seasons.
Orders Should Be Filled
When the Customers Want Them
Kiva believes that orders should drop directly from customers through
to pack operators resulting in shorter cycle times and same-day
fulfillment.
